2011 BAI Maverick Banker of the Year Winner Announced
The BAI Maverick Banker of the Year award recognizes forward-looking, collaborative and open-minded leaders who drive business results.
This annual award honors creative and innovative bankers who are natural motivators to their employees, peers and fellow leaders. These visionaries help their financial institution unleash new ideas to better connect with customers, engage their teams and deliver great results that positively impact the bottom line.
For the first time ever, the BAI Maverick of the Year award was presented at BAI Retail Delivery 2011 on Wednesday, October 12. This was a fitting setting to honor this years winner, James Geeslin, vice chairman and chief sales officer for Extraco Banks. The award, presented by Thomas K. Brown, former leading Wall Street analyst and now chief executive officer at Second Curve Capital, recognizes James’ leadership role in transforming retail branch operations in the Temple, TX‐based financial institution.
